I got this for my 7 year old when it first came out and she's really enjoying this set. It's a great addition to a barbie house of any size and it's not too big to use in the barbie houses or with other playsets. It's got simple and realistic colors that will easily go with an older playset or barbie house or a newer style. It's simple but practical and while I'm sure there could be more, its not disappointing. It also comes with a doll that is not made to move and that's one point I would make that for this type of playset, a made to move doll would have been a better doll to have . Just because it's impossible to sit the doll that comes with it, at her desk because her legs don't bend and she can't be posed to sit and use her laptop. I think for the price point that could have been the choice from Mattel. I like that way she looks and the casual cute dress and colors were nice. The only other thing I'd really critique is the back piece should NOT be a super thin cardboard/paper. That was a reason I'd not give 5 stars. That simple thing would make it much more sturdy for the little ones who may get this set and really at any age that thin back piece could get damaged easily. But overall I did like this set. I'd just use an articulated barbie to really get the most from it and be careful storing it when not in use, so the back doesn't get damaged. I'd still absolutely get this again though and reccomend it. Just another thing to add for someone who wants to keep it unopened or give it as a gift. This is packed wonderfully and not just a partial packaging like the new grill playset, hammock, or blue bean bag/TV set. I personally wish they were packed like this set.
